The image on the right was step 3. I flipped my scan and was able to trace the other side of the border. I tightened up a lot of the lines in the skirt and added the lace design to the parasol before inking and then sketched in a background. Step 4 is a digital thumbnail used to choose colors I will paint with (I don't always do this).
love how you can actually draw on the computer. really, i gave up and just stick to paint.

I'm much more comfortable actually drawing on paper than with a computer tablet, but it's ok for coloring.

Oh this is beautiful!
Im loving your blog because I just cannot draw to save my life. Your blog makes me feel better because I know there are folks out there doing it right.
